We welcome children from aged 2 years 9 months with sessions running from 7:30am to 5:30pm
OUR SESSIONS
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs each morning with drop offs at 7.30am or 7.45am (with breakfast) or 8:30am (drop off only).
Open to Ducklings children and Hunsdon JMI School pupils, the children are given a nutritional breakfast which includes a variety of cereals, toast and juice.
All school children are escorted to their class lines in time for the bell, to begin their lessons at 9am.
Ducklings Sessions
Morning sessions run Monday to Friday 9am to noon.
Lunch club runs Monday to Friday noon to 1pm.
Afternoon sessions run Monday to Friday noon to 3pm.
After-school Club
After-school Club runs every day from 3:15pm to 5:30pm.
This is open for children who attend Ducklings and Hunsdon JMI School.
Children are collected from school and given a nutritious snack and drink on arrival. They can do their homework if they need to, and there are a variety of activities for all age groups. The children have access to outdoor play in the school playground, weather permitting.
School children who participate in after-school clubs will be collected from their groups and given a snack & drink on arrival.

Breakfast Club (non-funded fees)
7:30am drop off with breakfast – £6.50
7:45am drop off with breakfast- £5.50
8.30am drop off only – £2.00
Ducklings Sessions (non-funded fees)
Morning session from 9am to noon – £14.00
Lunch club from noon to 1pm – £5.00
Afternoon sessions from noon to 3pm – £14.00
Afterschool Club
3:15pm to 4:30pm with snack – £8.00
3:15pm to 5.30pm with snack – £14.00
4:15pm* to 5.30pm with snack – £8.00
* For children who attend after-school clubs
15-hour funding is available to all children on the term after your child has turned three.
In some cases, you maybe able to receive funding for children younger than this. And, you could be eligible for 30 hours funding, too. Please use the links below to check your eligibility.
Charges for funded children, once their government funding of 15/30hrs has been used up, is £7.50 per hour. We also accept Childcare vouchers, although this scheme has now been replaced for new applicants by Tax-Free Childcare.

PARENT BABY & TODDLER GROUP
Hunsdon Ducklings & Parent Baby & Toddler Group caters for children up to three years old with their parents/carers or grandparents accompanying them. There are lots of toys, puzzles and activities to encourage the children and adults to play and socialise. The group is run by Hunsdon Ducklings qualified staff and we are open every Thursday (during term time) from 9.15-11.30 in Hunsdon Village Hall. £4 a session per family.

My son has attended Ducklings Pre-school and after school clubs on a regular basis and he absolutely loves it! He often doesn’t want to leave when it’s home time and has built great relationships with the all of the carers.
They are a lovely friendly team and do a great job at preparing the children for the big step up to reception!
